Our HERMÈS SCARVES CURRENTLY AVAILABLE
A LITTLE HISTORY Since its creation in 1937, more than 2,000 different screen-printed designs have been produced, composed on average of around fifty colours from a colour chart of 75,000 basic colours.
Each copy is archived in the Hermès “carreothèque” and one copy is sold every 30 minutes around the world, for a collection renewed every six months.
Some illustrations see their marketing reduced, with editions of a few units.
An engraving can take up to 2,000 hours of work.
️ The best-selling model remains Brides de gala (here!!) designed by Hugo Grygkar, originally dating from 1957, reissued since in more than 70 colors.
The most sought-after models are those from the 1940s. Although traditionally 90 cm on each side since the first model, a collection, also intended for men, entitled Carré 70 de 70 cm was published for the 70th anniversary of the square in 2007.
A Hermès scarf is made of 450,000 meters of silk thread. In 2018, sales of Hermès scarves amounted to 537 million euros and constituted 9% of the company's turnover.
